Internship Coordinators: Gigi Fernandez, Administrative Assistant and Kayana Haeusser, Operations Supervisor

Internship Length: 1 year

Academic Level: High school and all higher education

Availability: Some weekends and nights may be required

Location: Remote

Salary: Unpaid

Type: Part-time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • No professional experience required, but always welcomed.

  • Google Workspace, Microsoft, Adobe Creative Suite, RStudio, MailChimp, and Squarespace

  • Environmental messaging and marketing/social media strategies.

  • Fundraising for nonprofit organizations

Intern expectations:

  • Passion for making a positive impact on their community and the planet.

  • Basic knowledge of the carbon cycle.

  • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to take responsibility.

  • Self-motivated, able to stay focused, organized, and able to follow directions.

  • Goal-motivated, solution-focused, and good problem-solving ability.

Intern tasks:

  • Community outreach

  • Event and volunteer coordination

  • Developing climate education materials

  • Carbon footprint calculations

  • Industry research

  • Fundraising initiatives

  • Data entry/Administrative responsibilities

  • Marketing implementation

  • Social media content creation

  • Graphic design

Logistics:

  • You may receive class credit for the internship.

  • It is an unpaid internship with opportunities for growth and incentives.

  • We operate on a flexible schedule and expect you to build your own schedule according to your capacity. Hours will vary depending on workload, but we ask for 5-15 hours per week.
