Internship Coordinator: Grace Ebner, Accounts Manager

Academic Level: All

Availability: Some weekends and nights required

Experience: None required

Location: Gainesville, Florida

Salary: Unpaid

Semesters: Spring (January-April) and Fall (September-December)

Type: Part-time


Intern expectations:

  • Must have a passion for making a positive impact on the Gainesville community and the planet.

  • Must have basic knowledge of the carbon cycle.

  • Must have a positive attitude, be detail oriented, be willing to learn, and able to accept responsibility.

  • Must be able to stay focused, organized and accomplish tasks as directed in an acceptable amount of time.

  • Experience with environmental messaging, fundraising, non-profit organizations, marketing/social media strategies, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

  • Prefer someone with management potential and good problem solving ability.

Intern tasks:

  • Community outreach through tabling events

  • Environmental education at local high schools

  • Fundraising initiatives

  • Carbon footprint calculations

  • Industry research

  • Marketing implementation

  • Social media creation

  • Graphic design

  • Event and volunteer coordination

  • Data entry/Administrative responsibilities

Logistics:

  • You may receive class credit for the internship.

  • You do not need a car, although having one is a plus.

  • It is an unpaid internship with opportunity for growth and incentives.

  • Commitment is flexible but typically between 5-15 hours per week.

  • *Depending on your role, your hours may vary.

  • *You will be interviewed in person. 

  • *The interview will consist of a 15-30 minute conversation about your passions, future goals, and where you may fit in our organization to maximize your experience.
