Greenhouse Gas Accounting Analyst
Responsibilities:
Lead We Are Neutral’s carbon accounting program.
Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions assessments for a range of partners, including businesses, events, and households.
Guide partners through the data collection process and assist them with understanding their carbon footprint.
Monitor emissions factor database releases and keep internal processes and resources up to date with the best scientific practices.
Support sustainability consulting projects focused on managing and reducing GHG emissions.
Maintain communication and build positive relationships between partners and our team.
Strategize techniques to improve data collection processes for partners.
Conduct research on areas associated with partner emissions and emission factors.
Stay up to date on GHG accounting standards.
Collaborate with the team to create educational content, including blogs and webinars.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of the GHG Protocol and other carbon accounting concepts, greenhouse gas accounting, climate change, and environmental science.
Experience with data analysis and working with large datasets.
Demonstrated research, writing, and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a flexible, remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, math, accounting, or related field.
Enthusiasm for We Are Neutral’s mission and a desire to grow with the team.
Job Type: Full time, hourly.
Compensation: Hourly wage, depending on experience, to be discussed.
Location: Remote, must be located in the US.
